3-day Introduction to Stone Carving courses
3-day Introduction to Stone Carving courses (Friday to Sunday) in spring and summer.
Students learn all about stone and how to carve it, and take home their finished sculpture at the end of the three days.
The course covers all the main techniques of stone carving with group demonstrations and one-to-one tuition. We carve Bath stone which is a relatively soft limestone, great for beginners, and the course fee includes stone and all materials. Groups are small - maximum 5 people.

Weekly classes at Groves Yard
Regular weekly classes are held throughout the year on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. They are very popular but spaces do become available from time to time.
