Exhibitions
Form and surface are central concerns and I encourage them to evolve together. For me, hand-carving creates an intimate relationship with the stone and a natural pace of working that allows for revision and change.
I think in stone. For me, carving isn’t about reproducing something in stone, it’s about what the stone is and might be; you have to be sensitive to the stone and what it wants to do.
